Headed by Wang Jun, Assistant Provost of the University of California, Riverside, and Kevin Vaughn, Dean of the UCR’s College of Continuing Education, the American delegation paid a visit to ECUST. Zhu Weihong, Vice President of ECUST, met with the guests and signed a memorandum of understanding on behalf ECUST.

Led by Zheng Wenning of the College of International Education, an ECUST delegation of 29 students participated in the “ECUST-Cambridge Joint Summer Program” at the University of Cambridge from July 25 to August 25, 2024. During the academic experience, the students were intellectually inspired and greatly charmed by the beauty of cultural exchanges, laying a solid foundation for their future development.

​The ECUST Choir delegation of 45 students won gold medals in the mixed group (under 25 years old) and folk song group competitions at the 8th Singapore International Chorus Festival from July 28 to August 1, 2024. The competition featured more than 70 choirs from over ten countries and regions, including Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia.

On July 18—19, the “Low-Carbon Technology and Green Development” Symposium, the first bilateral event between the University of Huddersfield and ECUST, was held in the UK. The event was co-organized by the Confucius Institute for Science and Technology Innovation and ECUST’s Office of International Cooperation and Exchange. ​In April 2024, led by Li Xiaopeng, Dean of the College of International Education, the international student recruitment team of ECUST conducted student enrollment promotion activities in Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia. The team organized two JMD Program seminars in Jakarta and Surabaya and visited several elite local high schools to explore future cooperation.

Tian Ye, Director of the Chinese Language Center at the College of International Education, attended the 2nd International Higher Education Exhibition in Bahrain from April 21 to 22, 2024. ECUST was the only Chinese higher education institute with a dedicated booth. Liu Qing, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Bahrain, visited the booth and provided guidance on fostering educational cooperation between ECUST and Bahraini institutions.
